Trailer of the Week- Batman: Arkham Origins teaser

This week’s Trailer of the Week is the Batman: Arkham Origins teaser! We don’t get to see much, but what’s there has us already excited for this October. As you may have guessed, Arkham Origins is a prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, taking place “before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins” with a Batman that is “young, raw, and unrefined”. We are looking forward to learning more as new trailers are released in the coming months!

Trailer of the Week: Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

This week’s Trailer of the Week is the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon trailer! This stand alone expansion is all about 80’s nostalgia, complete with neon colors, synth music, and VHS static lines! Blood Dragon will be available April 30 for Play Station Network and May 1 for Xbox Live Arcade.

Trailer of the Week: Metal Gear Solid V Debut Trailer

The 2013 Game Developers Conference took place this week, and with it came the debut trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, this week’s Trailer of the Week! A previous trailer released in December under the title “The Phantom Pain” was strongly suspected as being an undercover Metal Gear Solid trailer, and has now been proven to be the case. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will take place after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (no release date announced yet).

This week’s Trailer of the Week is the DuckTales Remastered reveal trailer! Capcom, WayForward Technologies, and Disney announced today that they will be releasing a remastered version of the 8-bit Nintendo game which will feature hand-drawn artwork, 2.5D gameplay, and voice acting by the original cast of the animated TV series. DuckTales Remastered will be available for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and the Wii U e-Shop this summer.

The Trailer of the Week is the Saints Row IV Announcement trailer. Deep Silver, the new owners of the Saints Row franchise, says Saints Row IV is the “ball busting” new sequel that will start “a party in your pants”. After watching this trailer, it’s hard to disagree! Saints Row IV will be available August 20 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The Trailer of the Week is the Deadpool Reveal trailer, and High Moon Studios isn’t kidding when they say this video is guaranteed to get you excited! It’s certainly hard not to like this humorous (albeit mentally unstable) anti-hero, and it looks like the game will be every bit as fun as Deadpool himself. Deadpool the game will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.

This week’s Trailer of the Week is the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Vengeance Trailer. Sarah Kerrigan, seeking revenge, embarks on a path of anger while the Queen of Blades seeks to reclaim her living empire… This expansion is the second part of the planned StarCraft II trilogy and will be available for PC on March 12, 2013.

Trailer of the Week: Knack Announcement Trailer

This week’s Trailer of the Week is the Knack announcement trailer, which was first shown at the 2013 PlayStation Meeting this past Wednesday. Created by Mark Cerny- who is also the system architect for the PS4 -Knack is the story of an unlikely hero who “can transform into a gigantic fighting machine with immense power and strength”. With characters that look like they could have stepped out of Pixar or DreamWorks movie, a compelling story, and plenty of opportunities for interesting new gameplay mechanics, Knack is certainly one to look forward to!
