Namco’s Soul Calibur franchise is arguably only second to Tekken in terms of the company’s popular offerings, and with the most recent entry in the saga being around 6 years ago, with the next piece of the adventure poised to be released in the remainder of 2018, we’re celebrating the excitement with my top 5 guest-character suggestions that should appear in the franchise. Soul Calibur has been one of the most welcoming and daring fighting game franchises out there when it comes to cameo characters, doing a great job with developing faithful and fun movelists for characters from a variety of sources. Marvel vs Capcom was a series that felt like an event.  Cancel other plans, wrangle your friends.  Yes, that big of a deal.  Arcades and Home Consoles alike would bring out the best within fighting circuits.  Everybody had at least a few characters they could gravitate towards.  With a massive roster like MVC2, it was almost guaranteed.  All-star characters, obscurities.  The point is that there were options.  You could argue MVC is the best crossover franchise in all of gaming. For Honor Review: Clash of The Factions

For Honor has been one of my most anticipated games since the reveal in 2015.  It combines three things I love into one:  Samurai, Vikings, and Knights.  Part Deadliest Warrior/Bushido Blade, fighters converge on the battlefield.  Mix and match between 12 combatants with 4 assigned to each faction.  Some rely on speed, using quick combos, dodging attacks smoothly if properly timed.  More powerful characters lack in that department, but connecting with hits can be crucial.  I didn’t expect the fighting to be this deep.
