This new Dragonball Z title is channeling the past (sort of). The PS1 game DBZ Legends featured a varied roster, and great sprites for the time. The main draw was it’s 3 on 3 team based fighting. In the Battle of Z, players can form a 4 person squad. You can fight big bosses, or another group of four all online. Hopefully the servers will function well, because this is a chaotic series with things constantly going on. The campaign will be available in single player mode, but as you can see in the trailer, the strength of this game is in the numbers. The cel-shaded visuals return with an added spit shine. We can confirm that a North American release is happening. DBZ games are getting interesting again on PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360.
