      1. Yep, I know that feeling. I always enjoyed spraying water at enemies and jumping around. Too bad some people I hear didn’t like this game that much. I remember this came out around the same time as Luigi’s Mansion.

  1. I have SOME beefs with this game. The highs are really fun and creative, some of the lows (that pachinko machine and the sand bird) can be incredibly frustrating beyond belief. If the NX debuted a Mario game and it’s a return to this, I wouldn’t mind.

    1. I have to say I would mind. With the implementation of what they’ve done in Mario Galaxy, a Mario Sunshine would be highly disappointing in my opinion. This game was wonderful for the time and yeah, like I stated in my video I did have some issues but mostly just because when it comes to Mario we all expect perfection. 🙂

      1. Now what I find interesting (and this is only my opinion, not calculated facts), is that on the Wii U, the best Mario game (probably 3D Worlds) is still probably not the in the top 5 of best platform games on the console. I loved Shantae & The Pirate’s Curse, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, The Wonderful 101, Shovel Knight, Mighty Switch Force, Tropical Freeze, and RayMan Legends (it was an exclusive at the time) way more, whereas the Mario formula, while still enjoyable, is predictable. I’m conditioned to its universe, characters, and sense of whimsy, so I’m not surprised anymore. Than again, I’m an adult, but not above being captivated by charm.

      2. I can agree with you to a certain extent but I wouldn’t say it’s that way for me on wii. More the DS versions. Mario 3D World was honestly disappointing. Feel free to see my review. I got a lot of slack for it.

      3. I think you’ve made some very valid points, for both 3D Land and 3D World. It’s like Mario feels too frightened to present some of its younger audience and fans with a decent challenge lately, and as a result, it becomes hard to consider your game memorable. If anyone bashes you for this (and I get it a lot from people for criticizing 3D Zeldas and Mario for being overly formulaic) it’s out of being married to nostalgia so long, it’s affected their ability to judge things. Nothing is above criticism.
