Real Talk By: KJ
I have some trailers to share from Sony’s Paris Games Week Presser. Gravity Rush 2 video shows the new abilities Kat can acquire. She even has a new friend. Gamers were treated to another demo of the crisp-looking Horizon Zero Dawn. By The way, Gran Turismo is coming to the current gen. Get ready to represent. Ultimately, here are my top 5 clips from today’s briefing:
Detroit
We expect strong performances in this Quantic Dream exclusive.
Dreams
Endless gameplay potential here. Dare I say more than Little Big Planet?
Uncharted 4
The multiplayer is literally powered-up.
Matterfall
The House of Resogun is bringing us a new IP.
Tekken 7
Tekken 7 is taking its story very serious, as it ties the entire series plot together.
The Uncharted gameplay definitely caught me off-guard. I look forward to the beta, to see some of the larger than life moves in action. I’m not completely sold on VR gaming yet, but if the price is right, the games are good, it’s going to be hard to overlook. We also have a release date for Street Fighter V. February 16th, 2016. Six DLC characters will hit the scene throughout that year. Lots of reasons get excited.
I really liked the WiLD demonstration video, especially the idea of being a shaman that can control different animals and such. Not a lot to go on now, but I’m definitely interested. Horizon: Zero Dawn was definitely the highlight for me. I’ve never liked a David Cage game, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t impressed by the Detroit trailer. HouseMarque’s name on Matterfall was all I needed to see, since they only make incredible games. Lots of cool stuff!
