In The Video Above, Ms. Throwback talks about the impact Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata left on the gaming industry forever.
Below is a passage from J. Valdez:
I’m sure many have heard about the passing of Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s CEO and President. This man was responsible for many of the great games we play today and many we enjoyed in the past. He made it possible to revisit Kanto in Pokemon Gold and Silver when Gamefreak was having trouble fitting Johto by itself. Because of him we also have Super Smash Bros using various characters from different series rather than some generic fighters. He even worked tirelessly to bring Smash Bros Melee out on time. These are only a few of the things made possible by Mr. Iwata. The industry has truly lost a legend. I personally thank him for much of my childhood favorites, and wish his family and friends peace in this time of loss.
“On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer” – Satoru Iwata, GDC 2005
A well researched and informative video, which could only have been improved had you dressed up as Nurse Joy.
Rest in peace Mr Iwata. A very talented chap who was always honest to the fans.
