EA @ E3 Is Bringing It

Real Talk By: T-42

This year is all about big games. EA has announced and shown several trailers this year at E3 and I have to say, I am impressed. Which is shocking considering I went into the event with low expectations as EA has disappointed me lately. As I am not a big sports game fan my interest was limited on that front, however, they did show a lot of other big games and trailers that got me excited. First of all I want to talk about Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. I absolutely loved the first Mirror’s Edge. I found it to be truly unique and encompassing, everything from the visuals to the music to the fast past acrobatics! The trailer had me in goosebumps! Check it out fam!

The next big game I want to talk about is the announcement and trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The Mass Effect Trilogy is one of the best Sci-Fi RPGs ever despite how one may or may not feel about Mass Effect 3’s ending, it opened up an amazing universe, and now we can look forward to seeing more of what it has to offer.

Another noteworthy game announcement was Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. This time you play as the Zombies and the Plants are attacking you! The game play looked fun and if you liked the original then this one should be fun too.

Now last but not least, the Star Wars games. We got to see more of Battlefront, as cool as it looked I am still holding out for launch to see what people really think about the game, as the trailer they showed seemed a little to scripted. As a fan of the originals, this one has a lot to live up to and only time will tell if it does. It did strike my inner Star Wars fan with the classic Hoth Battle.

They also announced a new Star Wars card game called Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. Not much has been shown yet on this, but it will be interesting to see another card game entry along with the newly announced Elder Scrolls Legends Card game. Look out Hearthstone….

The last game I want to mention from EA was the announcement of the latest expansion to Star Wars The Old Republic MMO. They seem to want to bring the focus back more to story and player decisions in a way only BioWare knows how to do best. The Expansion is called Knights of the Fallen Empire and it should be out later this year. The trailer does make me want to load my character back up and play again. I am excited to see what comes from this and where the game series will go. Check out the trailer.

Okay Friends. That about sums it up for me. What did you all like about EA’s announcements? What games are you looking forward too?

  1. Mass Effect is the title that interests me the most. Good to hear that the Star Wars MMO is still being supported, as I feared the worst for that game.

  2. Like The Otaku Judge. I’m most interested in Mass Effect, especially with the prospect of visiting a new galaxy. I also thought the Battlefront trailer will appeal to Star Wars fans. Just too bad they won’t have space battles.
