“Lost World”
This track is the epitome of a proper scores. The Lost World level in Sega Dreamcast’s Sonic Adventure was by no means the most difficult level ever, but the BGM made you feel differently. The track went from mellow to intense as the level progressed. I miss this sense of attention to scoring in today’s gaming. The transition from jazzy to almost jungle rock was seamless and a true testament to the attention to detail. More developers should take into account that a proper score requires that the producer should be able to play or witness the game being played to make the feel of a level more organic.
