Sad news today. It was confirmed by Konami that the Guillermo del Toro x Hideo Kojima mash-up isn’t happening. Here is the official message by the company:
“Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic Silent Hills project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued,”
We always present a ballot at the end of the year of our biggest disappointments. This unfortunate development will most certainly be on there. Such a shame these awesome people couldn’t work something out for the fans. Source: Gamespot

There has always been a marriage between Silent Hill and Metal Gear so when I first starting hearing the bad news about Kojima, I knew Silent Hills was in danger. I was expecting this, but that doesn’t make it suck any less. Sigh.

Very true I was looking forward to that one, also for me while most will enjoy the new Halo 5 I’ll be stuck in the past just dreaming about that one.
