Hello all, i’am here with a list of the Top 5 Dinosaur games, In my opinion of course.

5. Dino Crisis (PS1)

Coming in at number 5 we have Dino Crisis. Dino Crisis was a game that came out in 1999 and was available for the PS1, the Dreamcast, and the PC. It played very similar to Resident Evil which would make sense considering that they were made by the same company. here is a bit from Wikipedia about it:

Dino Crisis features game design that is very similar to Capcom’s early Resident Evil titles. The player controls Regina, a member of the special forces team that is sent to investigate an isolated military facility that became infested with time-displaced dinosaurs as a result of a top-secret experiment.”

The aspect I liked about Dino Crisis for me was that the  game gave me that stuck in Jurassic Park feel, that I’d longed for at the time of its release. Definitely a fun game as well as a classic from a golden age of gaming.

4. Primal Carnage (PC)

Coming in at number 4 is Primal Carnage. One of the great things about this game is that you get to be the Dinosaur! Each Dino that you choose has different pros and cons about them.  I love playing as a raptor! On the flip side fighting against the Dinos is also just as intense, if you are on a good server that is. Some players are so good you feel like running and hiding and it is oh so fun!

3. Turok (N64)

Turok is one of those games that just resonates with my childhood as a game I spent tons of hours in playing it over and over. In this game you play a time traveling Native American (Turok), who has to deal a lot with various types of Dinosaurs including A boss fight with a T-Rex that has a cyborg eye. Check out the boss fight!

2. Monster Hunter 3 (Wii U)

In at number 2 is Monster Hunter 3. Everyone as of late has been talking about MH, and for good reason. They are great games! But today I chose Monster Hunter 3 as my number 2 choice because if you are going to battle Dinosaurs you might as well play this game because the Dinos are tough and fun to fight against. If you are not sure for yourself about these games, seriously watch this trailer. Enjoy.

1. Super Mario World (SNES)

Coming in at number one on this list stars Yoshi. I think that every Dino list should have Yoshi on it at some point, and this list our friend makes the top. Oh the adventures I have gone on with this Green machine. Yoshi is the main Dinosaur in the Mario/Nintendo universe. He first hit the scene back in 1990 when Super Mario World launched on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Generally this dino serves as a riding mount that can also eat your enemies. In Super Mario World you could also find different colored Yoshi’s that had different abilities about them, such as the blue one let you fly for as long as he had a shell in his mouth. Nintendo would not be complete without this fantastic Dinosaur.

Well there you have it folks. What are your favorite Dinosaur games? Do you think I missed any? Let us know in the comments!

  1. This is an awesome list! My personal favorite dinosaur games were Primal Rage and a more obscure sit down arcade cabinet where you controlled a T-Rex who had her eggs stolen by an evil shaman called “Savage Quest”. It was an interesting game because of the cabinet configuration and the fact that the controller was like a flight stick style controller. Definitely check it out if you can!

  2. Great list! I’ve never play primal carnage but will check it out!

I really wish dinosaurs would make their way into more games; as much as I love zombies I NEED a horror game based on Jurassic Park (the book or movie; I don’t care!) imagine being hunted by raptors; like in alien:isolation, and being chased by the T-Rex!

Hell I’d even take a new; scary, dino crisis!

C’mon games industry give us dino games!
