With all the big blockbusters dropping in the Fall/holiday season, its real easy to overlook a lot of titles. We grabbed a few games we feel will contain just as much quality as the bigger releases. Upon their release dates, you should give these games a look. Or just play MW3 the whole season, guess that would work too.
Aliens Infestation
Way Forward games has been developing some quality 2D games, so picking this title for the DS wasn’t much of a challenge. Aliens Infestation looks to offer plenty of exploration, and nasty aliens to shoot at. This is a great way to send the system off.
The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection
For 40 bucks, you get two cult classics in one. While we wait on Team Ico’s Last guardian, we can use these two titles to keep our minds sane. HD remakes are becoming more frequent, but when you jam all this quality together, it’s a guaranteed win.
Kirby’s Return To Dreamland
The focus this holiday season is primarily geared towards Zelda Skyward Sword. Rightfully so. Just don’t pass on Kirby. this is a platformer beat-em-up that will make for a fun party game. I’m thinking the potential is here, to replace New Mario Bros wii.
Rayman Origins
Seems like it should be a download title, but Rayman has a level of polish in it that simply cannot be ignored. This impressed me at E3 this year, because of the unique characters and level design. Hopefully it will be worth the asking price. If not, Gamefly should be the answer.
Goldeneye Reloaded
Anyone with a Wii that did the right thing (purchased Goldeneye) knows that this 007 experience is one of the better modern Bond games. With solid FPS mechanics, great multiplayer stages and modes, this game did the legendary game proud. Now its coming to PS3 and Xbox 360. The motion controls translated well to the game, now lets see how standard PS3/360 controls work out.
